Friends here have received announcement of the death of John Jay Witter in Ithaca Saturday night October 13.
The son of Frank A and Mary Finch Witter, he was born in Berkshire and spent his early boyhood here. He is survived by his wife; a brother, Edward Witter of St Petersburg, Fla; a step-son, Frank Dockstader, Ithaca; two step-daughters, Mrs John Baird and Mrs Lillian Ryant, of Ithaca; four grandchildren. Mrs S S Dewitt is a cousin.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon in Ithaca and burial was in Lake View Cemetery.
