Last Tuesday night Mrs. Hannah Ames, of Millerton, died at the age of 82 years. She retired in her usual health, and about 10 oclock asked for assistance in turning over in bed. She expired almost at that instant. She had resided in Jackson township since 1838 (The Wellsboro Agitator, Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, November 27, 1888).
