  Kathy,
I sent you fax note and got this email message. It would be really nice to collect the information about my great uncle's family. Also your aunt Clara's family if permission granted. I would love to sort the puzzles among the Newton families. I can share more about Art and Clara after I speak to Phyllis, Preston's wife.
Would it be a possible to make copies of the documents and mail them to me? I will reimburse the postage and materials.
I have visited Elmira, NY courthouses, cemeteries before. My paternal grandpa was born in Elmira, NY. Art is my maternal grandmother's next younger brother.
  Don

I don't have a page to link to. I'm actually related through his wife, Clara.
the part you wrote about them not speaking? I knew something wasn't right there, but it was never brought up. I knew after his death that Aunt Clara wrote to his sister, Alice to tell her about his death....she had the response letter from her -locked in her desk drawer but, after her death, family/??? that she rented from cleaned her stuff out..and gave us some of her things and kept the important things (sore subject).. I see that his sister had a journal that you got the info from.?
They did have a child...but, she miscarried??
I have all the info. about his and her death if anyone is interested.
Could you put me in contact with your brother-in-law?
I would love to know more about Uncle Art and his family. We've always been told that if we saw Preston, we'd swear it was Uncle Art.
Thanks so much for getting back to me.
