Note: Mary E Ames' note: My grandmother always talked bout how her husband was the "first" Davison in the blood
line. She dreamed of his being the first in a long family line and then my father, who was the
second Davison, never had any boys to carry on the name. Glenn's son is Charles Davison Hurry,
and he is the closest to carrying on the name
I assumed from this that my grandfather, Charles C. Davison, was adopted into the Davison family so the earlier Davisons are not related.
#3 - Aunt Althea Marie Hurry died in Erie county hospital in Buffalo, New York.
Ellie and I went to see her there so I am sure that is where she died. She was in a coma when we visited last.

I have no idea who adopted him or who his parents were. Grandma kept all of the family information in her bible but I never saw it after she died. My cousin Glenn died last fall so we will never know. Mom (Mary)

One thing I am not sure if you care… My grandmother Alice Newton, descendant of Isaac Sheldon (S8) married to Charles Maurice Davison. There is some new changes for Charles’ father Charles Cable [not Chase] Davison. My mother told me that Charles C Davison was “adopted” into a Davison family (later discovered John Davison and Elizabeth). Through careful research, I discovered that John Davison was actually stepfather to Charles Cable as Melissa was married secondly to John Davison. Melissa was married to Henry Cable firstly with son Charles Cable per one or two census. Also Melissa was the Carter surname based on her mother Rebecca’s last name as Rebecca and Charles C. lived with John and Melissa Davison as well with Henry and Lizzie Cable per some census. I find that Melissa, Elizabeth and Lizzie across several census are the same person.
Charles “Charles C. Davison” Cable married to Myrtle Casey, descendant of John Sheldon (S5).
