Florence E. Bish
Rock Hall, (MD) - Florence Elsie Bish of Rock Hall died Sept. 19, 1999, at her home. She was 80.
Born Nov. 15, 1918 in Rock Hall, she was the daughter of the late Charles Eldridge and Pearl Elizabeth Taylor.
She married Grover C. Ward in 1939 and they lived in Baltimore. Mr. Ward died Oct. 25, 1970.
In Baltimore she worked 10 years as a hostess for Holiday Inn Circle One, retiring in 1969. After her first husband's death, she moved back to Rock Hall.
In October 1971, she married Leo S. Bish of Rock Hall. In 1978, Mr. Bish died.
Mrs. Bish is survived by four sons, Charles L. Ward of Gettysburg, Pa, Howard A. Ward of Baltimore, Lawrence A. Ward of Rock Hall, and James J. L. Bish of Chestertown; one daughter Josephine F. Grey of Baltimore; a brother, Howard L. Joiner of Fort Myers, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. One daughter, Helen Helene Gears is deceased.
Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 23, at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home, Rock Hall, where friends may call Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
