Note: Doris May (Christianson) Knowles , 92, peacefully went home to her Lord on Tuesday, 11/17/20. Doris survived the loss of two husbands, her youngest son, and numerous friends and family. She moved to Maine with her daughter Carol Christianson, and was able to experience the beauty of fall leaves, deer grazing in the back yard, and the ongoing construction of their new home. Her son Paul E. Christianson, Jr. (Carole Ann) gave her the joy of grandchildren in Ashlee Lorio (Matt) and Amanda Hayter (Scott.) They in turn gave her great-grandchildren Jackson, Caroline, and Rex who lit up her world! Doris had a full life both giving and receiving much love.
As Doris neared the end of her journey she received additional love and care from CHCS Home Services. As she transitioned in need, she was admitted to DECH in Machias. Doctors Jenkins and Grayson, along with all shifts of the nursing staff on the medical unit, gave her love, respect, and wonderful care. Our family is forever grateful to all of you.
