After marriage moved to High Hill Road, Westland Twp. where she raised 4 kids and helped John with the trucking business, she then moved to Cambridge after John's death. She was born March 23, 1942 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Jack C. Wagstaff and Mary E. (Curran) Barber.
Mrs. Martin was a homemaker. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie 386 Auxiliary and VFW Post 2901 Auxiliary. She was a 1960 graduate of Valley Local High School.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, and crafting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Martin, who died March 15, 1991. They were married on February 16, 1963. Also deceased is a daughter, Mary E. Martin; and her step-father, Joe Barber.
She is survived by two sons, a daughter, a brother, ; a sister, her step-mother, Pat Wagstaff of Arizona; a step-brother, a step-sister, a brother-in-law, Joe (& Margaret) Martin of Cambridge; five grandchildren, , ; several step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Monday (December 22, 2014) at 1:30 p.m.
Burial will be at East Union Cemetery.
