His army attestation states that he has never served a prison sentence. 1895=1911 Private 4319 William Henry Ashmore York and Lancaster Regiment. From 11/07/1895 1901= Serving in the Army 1903=Marriage to Annie Walton nee Raynes a Widow. September Qtr Vol 9c Page 751 1905=3 Court 7 House, Stafford Street 1907=Re-engaged for 4 years 05/07/1907 to 10/07/1911 when discharged after completing his engagement 1909=Death of Wife Annie Ashmore 22nd December 1909 aged 35 years and a William Henry Ashmore son of William Henry Ashmore died aged 15 months. at 3 Court 7, Stafford Street. 1910=Anne Ashmore daughter of William died aged 11 months 17th September, 1910 at 3 Court 8, Stafford Street. 1911=1 Court 2, Royds Mill Street (Unmarried) lodging with his parents Henry and Eliza as a labourer/railway wagon builder. 1913=Death January Qtr of 1913 aged 37 years and buried with wife (1911 census states unmarried) and children in Grave 8741, Section T, City Road Cemetery. N.B. The other William Henry Ashmore (1872) married an Annie Bailey in 1899.
