  Wilbert "Bert" Joseph Daigle, 86, a native and resident of Bayou Blue, died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2005.
  Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
  He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Velma Samanie Daigle of Bayou Blue; three sons, Larry Daigle and wife, Ruby, Wilbert Warren Daigle and wife, Christine, of Bayou Blue, and Elphege "John" Daigle and wife, Bonnie, of Houma; four daughters, Dolores Thibodaux and husband, Alvy, Peggy Bourg and husband, Russell, Grace Terrebonne and husband, Perry, of Bayou Blue, and Theresa Lirette and husband, Kenneth, of Houma; one brother, Nelson Daigle of Harvey; 17 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elphege Joseph Daigle and Ann Angeline Guidry Daigle Samanie; one grandson, Alvy Thibodaux Jr.; three brothers, Edley J. Daigle Sr., Herbert Daigle and Joseph Daigle; three half-brothers, Shelly, Henry and Charles Daigle; one sister, Nellie Daigle Caro; and five half-sisters, Philomene Daigle, Magnolia Sears, Elda Thibodeaux, Ozia Sonnier, and Mathilda Bergeron.
  He was a retired truck driver for 30 years with Delta Iron Work and a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
