  Nelson Joseph Daigle, 84, a native of Bayou Blue and resident of Harvey, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005.
  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Houma. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
  He is survived by his wife, Clara Ann LeJeune Ripp Daigle of Harvey; two sons, Jessie Daigle and wife, Danis, of Baton Rouge, and Herbert Daigle and wife, Faye, of Marrero; three daughters, Anna Marie Gardner and husband, James, of Terrytown, Odessa Terrebonne and husband, Lucien, of Marrero, and Frances Touro and husband, Jesse, of Harvey; two stepsons, Chris Ripp of Mccaysville, Ga., and Marvin Ripp and wife, Lisa, of Marrero; one stepdaughter, Mary Leblanc and husband, Dwayne, of Crown Point; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lena Josephine Samanie Daigle; his parents, Elphege Joseph Daigle and Ann Angeline Guidry Daigle; one grandson, Donn Emory Gardner; four brothers, Joseph, Edley Sr., Herbert and Wilbert Daigle; three half-brothers, Shelly, Henry and Charles Daigle; one sister, Nellie Caro; and five half-sisters, Philomene Daigle, Magnolia D. Sear, Alida D. Thibodeaux, Ozia D. Sonnier and Mathilda D. Bergeron.
  He was a retired Texaco employee with 40 years of service, past member of the Woodmen of the World and a parishioner of the Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Harvey.
