Lloyd James Babin, 94, a native and resident of Grand Caillou, Louisiana passed away on October 31, 2020.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park-Houma, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park-Houma, from 8:00 am until 10:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11:00 am and the burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
He is survived by his beloved wife and caregiver, Ramona Guidry Babin; children, Rhonda Picou, Laura Domangue and husband, Ray, Neal Hubbard and wife, Debbie all of Houma, LA, Frances Bunch, of Tucson, AZ, Steve Hubbard of GA; grandchildren, 14; great-grandchildren, 5; great-great-grandchildren, 12; sisters, June Bergeron and husband, Sherrill and Joan Pellegrin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glaise and Rose Thibodeaux Babin; siblings, Pearl Lambert, Curtis Babin, Francis Babin, Rhea Chaisson, Nell Voisin, Rosemary Gautreaux, Shirley Mae Babin, Glaise John Babin, Elise Babin and Joseph Babin.
He was a proud U.S. Marine Veteran, serving in WWII on Okinawa.
He was a devout Catholic; a kind person who was always ready to help anyone. He deeply loved his family.
