Carrol Lee Paul Marcel, 62, a native and resident of Bayou Blue, died at 7:20 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. A military service will be held at 10:15 a.m. followed by a religious service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at St. Louis Cemetery in Bayou Blue.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Poole Marcel; his mother, Claire Rita Savoie Marcel; one son, Dana Paul Marcel and Gina; three daughters, Melissa Hobbs and husband, Kenneth, Kandace Stegall and Katie Stegall; one brother, Gene Marcel; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Paul Marcel. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
