Barbara Ann Brien, 66, a native of Houma and resident of Bayou Blue, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009. Click to enlarge Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home of Houma and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by three sisters, Phyllis B. Eschete and husband, John, Mary B. Weatherhead and Annette L. Brien; two nieces, Aimee E. Eschete and Caitlin E. Weatherhead; and two nephews, John A. Eschete II and Trevor A. Weatherhead.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivy J. Brien and Iris Savoie Brien.
She was an active parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church and was a devoted member of her rosary prayer group. She was a longtime art enthusiast and was a warm, humble servant of Christ. Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
