Bessy Lee Chauvin Barrow, 91, a native and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Friday until service time at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Barrow Guidry; sisters, Ethel Coffman and Frances Brien; two grandchildren, Brandy Spencer Bernard and Caleb Barrow Spencer; and great-grandchild, Nicholas Allen Bernard. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Nicholas Barrow; parents, Argus Chauvin and Meloie Savoie Chauvin; brothers, Howard Chauvin and Ollen Chauvin; sisters, Della Usie, Jeanne Chauvin, Nurvy Chauvin. She was a homemaker and parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home Inc. in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
