  Interesting fact: Eugenie died at 2:00 a.m. on May 8, 1946. This is the same time that my mother, Nell, was being born. My grandmother Helen loved her grandmother very much, but couldn't attend the funeral because she had just given birth to my mother. In the picture, she looks like a very stern and perhaps mean woman. My grandmother Helen says this is not true. She was very sweet and had heart of gold.
