Note: Houma Courier, Dec. 14, 1980, Sunday Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle VIOLET CALLAHAN Mrs. Violet Marcel Callahan, 88, of Houma, died Friday at noon. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home, resuming 9 a.m. Monday until funeral time. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Virgest and Labon Bergeron of Houma; and one daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Helen) D'Antoni of Chalmet; 17 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Bergeron and William Callahan; three sons, Aubrey, Walteron and Erby Bergeron; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Theriot, Mrs. Ellis Luke and Mrs. Elsie Mathern; and two brothers, Buddy and Harry Marcel. Chauvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Dec 15, 1980, Monday CORRECTION In the death notice of Mrs. Violet M. Callahan appearing in Sunday's Courier, names were inadvertently misspelled and grandchildren incorrectly listed. Survivors names misspelled included a son, Laban Bergeron; a son preceding her in death, Irby Bergeron; and a sister preceding her in death, Mrs. Elsie Matherne. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren.. Mrs. Callahan died non Friday at St. Claude General Hospital.
