 Isaac Joseph Savoie, D.D.S Isaac Joseph Savoie, D.D.S., 80, a
 native of Bayou Blue and a resident
 of Houma, died at 7:35 p.m.
 Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000
  Visitation was scheduled from noon
 to funeral time today at St. Louis
 Catholic Church. Mass was
 scheduled for 3 p.m. today at the
 church, with burial in the church
 cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee
 Ensminger Savoie of Houma; one
 son, Peter C. Savoie and wife,
 Dianne, of Houma; one daughter,
 Mrs. Billy (June) Gelpi of Nashville,
 Tenn.; two sisters, Louise Clodio of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.,
 and Irma Illum of Houma; and two grandchildren, Lisa and Jennifer
 Gelpi, both of Nashville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre and Jenny Marcel
 Savoie; and one granddaughter, Alison Savoie. He was a retired dentist and served as a Lt. Commander in the U.S.
 Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Lions Club
 since 1945 and served as president twice and as Lions District
 Governor. He was a 1939 graduate of Terrebonne High School,
 1942 graduate of Louisiana State University and a 1945 graduate of
 Loyola School of Dentistry. He was a deacon and a parishioner of
 St. Louis Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 Dr. Savoie Attends Monroe Convention
 Dr. Isaac J. Savoie of Houma left this week for Monroe werhe he was to attend the Leadership Council on Dental Health April 12 at Hotel Francis.
 Dr. Savoie will remain in Monroe through Saturday to attend the annual convention of the Louisiana State Dental association which began it's sessions Thursday. The convention will continue through Saturday.
