  Mrs. Elizabeth Duplantis Jarveaux, age 85, died at her residence at 210 McKinley, Tuesday, July 25, at 10:30 a.m. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 26, at 5:30 p.m. from Chauvin Funeral Home to Maria Immaculata Catholic Church. Interment was in St. Ann Cemetery in Bourg.
 Mrs. Jarveaux was the mother of Mrs. Haydee Portier, Hazel, Nora, Sterling and Luby Jarveaux, all of Houma, and Mrs. Emil Larsen and Rita Jarveaux, both of New Orleans. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one brother, Calvin Duplantis and one sister Mrs. Robert Hebert of Houma.
 Preceding Mrs. Jarveaux in death were her husband, Edmund Jarveaux; and three sons, Benjamin, Frankie, and Clifford. Chauvin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
