  VOLCAR LIRETTE The Houma Times, July 17, 1936, page 1, col. 1
  Volcar Lirette, age 85 years, a highly esteemed citizen of Terrebonne
 Parish, died at the residence of hi son in-law, John Guidry at Montegut,
 on Sunday, July 11th at 1:00 a.m. He was a native of this parish and
 many years ago, he wedded Miss Augel Porche also of Terrebonne parish..
 His passing is deeply mourned by a large number of relatives and friends
 here.
 Hi is survived by his wife, three sons, Sidney of Matthews, La., Lawrence of Bay Town, Texas; and Eddie of Terrebonne Parish.
 Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John Guidry, Mrs. Freddie
 Daigle of New Orleans, and Mrs. Ernest Petterson, of Port Arthur, Texas.
 The funeral services were held at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Houma, on Monday, July 12th at 10:00 a.m., with interment
 in the Catholic Cemetery here. Chauvin Funeral Home in charge.
  Note: In 1936 St. Francis de Sales cemetery was also known as the Catholic
 cemetery.
