 Published January 9, 1984, Monday
 Vyner Pierre Caro, 82, native of Bayou Blue, resident of Houma, died at 4:30 am, today.
 Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and from 8 am to funeral time Tuesday at the funeral home. The funeral will be at 11:30 Tuesday from Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel.
 Burial will be Magnolia Cemetery.
  He is survived by his wife, Helen Landry Caro; three sons, V.J. Caro Sr. of Houma, Roy Caro of Franklin and Eugene Caro of Bourg; one daughter, Mrs. Charles G. (Emma Lee) Smith of Houma; two sisters, Mrs. E.C. (Mamie) Chamblie and Mrs. L.J. (Clarabell) Bernard, both of Houma; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
  He is preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Brunet; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene E. Caro; and a sister, Mrs. Blaize "Eugenie" Bourgeois. Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is handling arrangements.
