a. Note:   Oral L. Bourgeois, 89, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 12:33 a.m. Dec. 14, 2005.
  Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland, with burial at the church cemetery.
  He is survived by his wife, Marie Babin Bourgeois; sons and daughters-in-law, Edward L. and Cheryl Bourgeois, Donald J. and Dianna Bourgeois; daughter and son-in-law Marie Bourgeois and Carrol Rogers Sr.; brothers Milton Sr. and Alvin Bourgeois; sisters Bernice B. Babin and Doris B. Theriot; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
  He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph "Buddy" Bourgeois and Cornelia Cheramie Bourgeois; brothers Oakland and Edward Bourgeois; sister Catherine Bourgeois Bourgeois; and grandson John M. Rogers.
  He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Church.The family thanks St. Ann Home Health and St. Joseph Hospice.
