Eli D Flint, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Flint of this city suddenly disappeared 17 years ago last April and was never heard of until some days ago. He left a wife and three children; Billy Flint, who has since lived with his grand parents being his son. A few days ago Eli was doing some contract carpenter work in Iowa near where he was raised and went and called on his relatives who still reside there, and they wrote his mother at this place the news--she could hardly believe it as they had all thought him dead. His wife with the two daughters went to the state of Washington several years ago where she was since married. Eli Flint was also remarried in 1890 and now lives in Chicago. Mrs. Watson, his sister will visit him while on her trip. No cause was ever given for his actions but domestic trouble is supposed to have been the cause.
