  John and Prudence Daugherty became Decatur County, Indiana landowners of 160 acres on July 12, 1834 and had five children.
 This farm was close to Prudence's Mother & Father's (Gad & Catherien Waggoner), Homestead.
  Both John and Prudence died young, leaving five small children. Prudence's father, Gad Waggoner, was appointed guardian. Before all
 of the estate could be settled, Gad Waggoner died and his wife Catherine Waggoner, was appointed executrix of the estate. She too passed away before the youngest child became of age.
