When he finally chose retirement, his legs were causing him some issues. Aunt Mary had also taken ill and needing someone at home with her. His two children told him it was time to quite the wrecker and be at home more. Even at home, he loved tinkering in his shop and yard, refusing to slow down until the last two years. In April 2014 his hip broke, keeping him from the active joys of his life. Even though his hip healed completely, the long inactive time had taken it's toll on his body. I have many wonderful and fond memories of my favorite uncle. WWW.FINDAGRAVE.COM Memorial #132244841
