a. Note:   * Robert Carl Foster was a supervisor with the Highway Department until the depression of 1929, when the Democtrats took office. At this time, the Republican Supervisors were released. For many years Carl worked on a nearby farm until it was sold, after which Carl gained employment with Wolford's Construction Company in Greensburg, Indiana building homes. Carl retired from this occupation.
  * Being an honest and hard working man, Carl had the respect of his neighbors and friends. As a young child, I remember my Grandfather in his wood working shop, smoking his pipe and working with his tools and lumber. Grandpa was a quiet man, and respectful to others.
