Notes
a. Note:   Railroad worker; member of the Woodsman Of The World, White Oak Camp #755; Only marriage record in Arkansas for a Jerry Fitzgerald is to a Sarah Pate, in Woodruff County Arkansas. Jerry age 27, Sarah age 19; married Nov 27, 1890 . Regarding
Stella told her granddaughter (Janet Louise Genseal) she was "Black Dutch", & her great-granddaughter (Catherine Jane Gall, abt 2017) asked a Research Assistant at the Family History Center in Utah about the "Black Dutch", sharing our own personal interests in same. Answer I received was that at that time in our history, Indians were treated very badly, so most Indians hid their linage by claiming to be Black Dutch ; Arkansas has proven to be of no benefit as far as getting copies of birth certs., marriages, & deaths for this family: No record of Stella's mother so far (of any kind) including her death bet 1897-1899; Did find Jerry Fitzgerald's death in Arkansas County records, however when looking over his probate records did discover items missing from them which should have been there.
