F, Regiment 145, IL US INF, Pension Application Jan 8, 1886 PROBATE RECORDS, April 8, 1881, Jackson County, IL Harmon Worthen, Administrator Elmire Morgan, Widow (re-married to Donaldson) Children: Isaac Worthen, 14 years old Nancy Worthen, under 14 William Worthen, under 14 July 1883, court appointed R.J. Young appointed Guardian Ad Litem for the minor children. Estate included 40 acres, also two undivided shares in the estate of James Worthen, deceased being about 4 acres. Property sold to pay the existing debts. Prior to sale, notice was published for six successive weeks in the Independent newspaper, Murphysboro, Illinois. Aug 21, 1883 the property was purchased by A. Smith, William Worthen, and Silas Worthen. The widow received the sum on 171.25 from the sale, in addition to personal property.
