Note: MARY J. DENT DIES AT ADVANCED AGE Mrs. Mary Jane Dent, widow of the late William S. Dent, died at her home on Main st., this city, Wednesday, July 4, at 5:30 AM, of uraemic poisoning following a two weeks'illness. Mrs. Dent was born in Newcomerstown, Nov. 21, 1841, and lived here her entire life. She was united in marriage March 30, 1865, to Wm. S. Dent, to which union were born three childre, one of whom, Mrs. T. A. Banks of this city, remained to folloow the mother to her last resting place. She also leaves three brothers, Joab Mulvane of Topeka, Kansas, David Mulvane of Los Angelesw, CA, and GEo. W. Muilvane of this city, one grandson, Thos. D. Banks of Columbus, and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Dnet was an exceptionally active woman despite her advanced years. She was a member of the M.P. church for nearly 70 years and took an active part in all its work. She was also affiliated with the Order of Eastern Star, the White Shrine, the REbecca lodge, the Ladies' Auxiliary of the S. of V., and the W. C. T. U., being one of the crusaders. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the residence on Main st., conducted by REv. L. C. Momberg, interment was made in the local cemetary. News, 7-11-1923 A NOBLE WOMAN Mrs. Mary J. Dent died July 4th last, at her home on Main street at the age of 81 years. She was the daughter of David Mulvane and wife. Her husband, William Dent, and son Dwight both preceeded her to the grave. One daughter, Mrs. Thomas Banks, Sr. of Newcomerstown and one grandson, Thomas Dent Banks, of Columbus; three great grandchildren and three brothers survive. The brothers are: George Mulvane, Newcomerstown; Joab, of Toeka, Kansas, and David Mulane, of Los Angeles. For years she was affiliated with the M.P. church. she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sons Veterans, Eastern Stars and the Rebekahs. Mrs. Dents was remarkably active of later for one of her years, having but recently returned from a trip to California. She lived her entire life in Newcomerstown and all this time on Main street and was one of our finest women. Mrs. Dent was one of the early, what was called "crusaders," who took an active part in the prohibition cause. Funeral services were held from the late home Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. L. C.
