(Note: Jesse was said to have been born in 1878, though the record in Rockingham Co's. cemetery records has him as being born in 1870.) Jesse is also shown in the 1910 census as living in Madison, 40 years old, with wife Nora, ( who was also 40. They had two children--Jesse--14, and Frank--12. He was shown to be a dealer in finished lumber. They resided on Murphy St.

Jesse Archer Pratt (Phillip Isaac7, Thomas Henry6, William5, William4, John3, William2, Griffin1), eleventh child of Phillip Isaac Pratt and Nancy Webb Harris, was born May 23, 1870, in Leaksville, Rockingham County, North Carolina. He married Lenora Lindsay Wall, daughter of Zachariah Lindsay Wall and Susan Elizabeth Webster, October 24, 1894, in Madison, Rockingham County, North Carolina. She was born August 8, 1869, in Madison, Rockingham County, North Carolina. Lenora was a widow, previously married to Thomas Conrad Lauten, who died November 1, 1891. Lenora and Thomas Lauten had two children: Robert Lindsay Lauten, and Mabel G. Lauten m. Arthur Alfred McCrary. The two Lauten children were likely raised in Jesse Archer's household. Jesse was a finished lumber dealer in Madison. The Pratt's resided on Murphy Street. Jesse died August 8, 1918, in Rockingham County, North Carolina. There are two grave markers for Jesse Archer Pratt. One is located in the Madison Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Madison, Rockingham County, North Carolina (Find A Grave Memorial # 21948637). The other, likely a cenotaph, is located in the Riverview Cemetery, Madison, Rockingham County, North Carolina (Find A Grave Memorial # 40151018), and the marker incorrectly has Jesse's date of birth as May 23, 1878 instead of May 23, 1870. After Jesse's death, Lenora Wall Lauten Pratt married (unknown) Delarue, between 1918-1930. "Lenor Delarue", widow and mother, is found in the 1930 US census living in the home of her son, Frank I(saac) Pratt and wife Roxie, in Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina. Lenora then went to live in the household of her son, Jesse Lindsay Pratt, in Unicoi County, Tennessee, according to the 1940 US Census. Lenora died September 5, 1948, in Madison. There are two grave markers for Lenora, both in the Riverview Cemetery, Madison, Rockingham County, North Carolina. One (Find A Grave Memorial # 40151238) shows her as "Lenora Wall Delarue, wife of J.A. Pratt" on the marker, and the other (Find A Grave Memorial # 18388239) memorial for "Lenora Lindsay Wall Lauten" is likely a cenotaph. Jesse Archer and Lenora Wall Pratt had two known children:

There is a stone for Jesse A. Pratt in the old St. John's Church cemetery in Madison, Rockingham Co., NC and also in Riverview Cemetery with Lenora Wall Lauten Pratt. Most of the Lautens are buried in the old St. John's cemetery.
