 Phetney was apparently married to (Unknown) McLelland before she married Milas Fincher. They had one son, William McLelland, born about 1860. William was rasied by Phetney's father's family, Nelson McCorkle, and can be found living in their home in the 1860 and 1870 Census. By the 1880 US Census, William was back living with his mother's family as Milas Fincher's stepson. William's father, (Unknown) McLelland, likely died in the Civil War.
