 Celia Reid Martin applied for a widow's pension 8 Aug 1856 stating that her husband, Jesse Martin was a private in the company of Fifle men under Brice Edwards in the 64 Regiment in the War of 1812. She also stated that he voluntered at Henry County, September 11, 1814, serving twelve days until honorably discharged. Celia Reid Martin died at the home of her youngest son, Calvin Luther Martin.
