Thomas was born 7 sep 1800 at Carter, TN to Abraham Nave and Mary Williams. It is likely that his middle name is Williams after his mother's maiden name. He married Louvisa Humphreys 17 Dec 1829 at Washington, Tennessee. They had 4 children: Hannah M. Nave Grindstaff, Anna Jane Nave Hardin, Pleasant George Nave, and James W. Nave. He was a miller and a farmer. Thomas is buried in the "Nave-Hess Cemetery." His gravestone, that was quite large, is no longer visible and his grave is unmarked. The name sometimes given to this cemetery (i.e., "Stover") is wrong.
