Campbell Crow, who settled on the Lincoln plantation, had two sons in the Civil War; Christian C. and John Crow. John was in the Union Army and Christian was in the Confederate Army. After a hot battle between the two armies in Washington County, Tennessee, near Jonesboro, John found his brother, Christian, lying dead in a trench. He paid a farmer living nearby to bury him decently and place a marker on his grave. Caleb Morrell from Sullivan County married a daughter of Campbell Crow and settled in Lynn Valley in 1840. He had sons in the Union Army during the Civil War.
