 Obituary - Mrs. Kate G. Porter, widow of Thomas I. Porter, deceased, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Lapping, of Franklin Twp. Friday evening, May 6, aged 83 years, of infirmities incident to advanced years. Mrs. Porter was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Gordon, deceased, and was born in Franklin Twp. where she had spent her entire life. She was the last of a family of ten children. She was a member of the Waynesburg MP Church and was highly esteemed. Her husband died in 1897 and she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lapping, with whom she made her home. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:00, conducted by the Rev. F. C. Viele. Interment in Green Mount Cemetery. (Cornerstone Genealogical Society, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania)
