In the name of God amen, I, Jacob Wise, of Morris township, Greene County, and
State of Pennsylvania, being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind, memory and under-
standing prais (sic) be God for it, considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of
the time thereof, and to the end I may be better prepared to leave this world when-
ever it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and declare this my last will
and testament in manner following, that is to say; first and principally I commend my
Soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator, that is to say; I order that all my just
debts, funeral expenses and charges of proving this my will be in the first place fully
paid and satisfied, and after payment thereof and every part thereof I give and bequeath
to my son Stephen Wise all my real and personal property in foresaid township after the
death of his mother. The said Stephen is to pay each one of my heirs as follows:
Sarah Wise, five dollars if living at my death, Catherine Dentzer, five dollars
George Wise, five dollars, John Wise, five dollars, Margaret Nickels, five dollars, Jacob
Wise, five dollars, Besaua KitlerÕs heirs one dollar each. Benjamin Wise, five dollars.
Henry Wise, five dollars, Andrew Wise, five dollars, Elizabeth Shriver, five dollars, and I
do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint J. L. Woods, of Washington County, executor of
this my will hereby revoking and making void all former and other wills by me at any time
heretofore made and declaring this only to be my last will and testament.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I the said testator have to this my last will and testa-
meant set my hand and seal twenty third day of March A. D., 1865.
