 WILLIAM J. PORTER
  William J. Porter, 80 years, of Nineveh R. D. 1, died Sunday, July 10, 1960, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for some time. Mr. Porter was a son of David R. and Jane Huffman Porter, and was born January 8, 1880, on Pursley Creek, near Oak Forest. He had resided most of his life in the Nineveh community and was a well known retired farmer and stock raiser. Mr. Porter was affiliated with the Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Nannie Sprowls Porter; one son, Ralph E. Porter of Waynesburg; two grandsons, William E. Porter and Ralph Edward Porter II; three sisters, Mrs. George Francis of Claysville; Mrs. Jessie McKee of Washington, and Miss Minnie Porter of Prosperity, and one brother, Edward Porter of Washington. Two sisters are deceased.
