Second, Pop has plenty of time and is with me every day but is not a letter writer. When this happened he did not know what to do first he was stunned. You can write to hospital for all mail and if you have something special for Pop mark it so and I will not open same.
*****My relatives are Frau Thea Meyer-Juergens, she is my only true blood relation on my father's side. Her father & my father were brothers. (Meyerhoff) Her husband's name is Herm. Meyer-Juergens their daughter is "Dola" Schneider. They have taken care of everything and every situation at all times and also get Pop every day to help him. He [[Herm. Meyer-Juergens ]] is 80 years old and was a Marconi Telegraph operator on the North German Lloyd (retired).
Now my father had a step-sister named Augusta, she was born after my father came to America. She is dead but her children "Thea" in America and "Ilse" here in Germany. By the way Ilse in English is Elizabeth in America. She has been working 40 years for the Justice Dept. and retired Aug.1. She also has been extremely good, helpful, always ready & willing to help. She is also my cousin although she is a "Zeiner". Same Grandmother, Meyerhoff or Zeiner.***
Everyone here in Germany have a wonderful spirit of helpfulness they cannot do enough for me.
Herm. is trying to find out when I can be relieved, released, just received word not before end of month.
Here's hoping all is well. Don't write to relatives in English as they cannot read same. They feel it is their obligation & want to do it. Doctor wants to be sure I can walk before I leave- will take x-rays.
