Based on the census listings, Cader and Priscilla ma y ha v e a n additional son and daughter.[PT38_1~1.GED] Cader Felton moved from Chowan Co., NC to adjoining Perquimans Co u n t y and was the County Coroner between 1814-1824. She was a sister of Lea h Felt o n , Shadrack's3 wife. Their marriage bond in Chowan County i s date d M ar ch 29, 1793. Cader was willed 100 acres of his late father's estate in Chowan Co u n t y in 1777 which he apparently received on the death of his moth e r i n 1 792. He is listed in the 1800 Chowan tax list as owning 1 4 7 acre s an d five slaves. He purchased land in Chowan County fro m B enjami n Hurd le in 1797 and Edmund Perry in 1801. He is liste d in t he 180 0 Chowa n census. He received 30 pounds from Samuel Pe rry o n Januar y 7, 1800 . He was appointed by the Chowan County Court in 1802 as a Slave Patr o l l er in Captain Cullens District for twelve months. On April 18 , 1 8 0 3 he sold five slaves and some personal property to John Perry . T h e sl ave's names were Hager, Cader, Stephen, Cromwell and Thany . Jo h n Felto n witnessed the deed. Cader sold land in Chowan Count y to h i s nephe w Robert Felton in 1809 and to Josiah Copeland in 183 0. H e m oved t o Perquimans County about 1810. He is listed in th e 181 0 Perq uiman s census with one male under 10, two between 10 an d 15, o ne betw een 2 6 and 45 (himself), one female between 10 and 15 , one be tween 2 6 and 4 5 (Priscilla), and eleven slaves. He is lis ted in th e 1813 P erquiman s County tax list in Captain Goodwin's Dis trict. H e owned 27 9 acres a nd had one white poll and five black po lls. He was the Coroner for Perquimans County between 1814 and 182 4 . H e i s listed in the 1820 Perquimans census with one male betwe e n 10 an d 15 , one male over 45 (himself), two females under 10, an d o ne femal e bet ween 26 and 45 (his wife). He is listed in the 18 21 P erquiman s Count y, Captain Joel Stallings' Company militia lis t and t he 1826 P erquiman s County, Captain John Bogue's militia list . Thes e milita w ere organ ized in their respective years to suppre ss Negroe s from runn ing away a nd threatening people. He was named a co-Executor of his brother October 31, 1821 Willia m ' s w ill. He was named Executor of the January 17, 1827 will of A bs al a Ro gerson. He was a witness to the October 4, 1828 will of J ame s T wine . He is listed in the 1830 Perquimans census with one m al e betw een 5 0 and 60 (himself), one female between 15 and 20, an d on e femal e betwe en 50 and 60 (his wife).
