There is an absense of 100% p ro o f of h is direct heritage but after several months of analysis , I fe e l reason ably certain it is as shown.
  "Alvin" Anson Willis grew up along the waterfront of New Bern an d m a d e his living fishing and working the docks that were so plenti fu l i n N ew Bern during that period. Anson's death, as Anson (NMN ) Wil li s is r ecorded in the New Bern Daily/Weekly ( 26 and 28 Ma y 1901 ) an d he i s buried in film of Cedar Grove Cemetary in New Ber n wit h caus e of dea th as "congestion and chill". There is no graves tone.
  Anson's son David died first, then Anson, then James and all 3 ar e b u r ied in the same "unmarked" general area in Cedar Grove. Plot # 's a r e o n record of Cedar Grove located in the clerks office of Cit y Hal l.
