Note: Obituary for Alice Kay HoeftAlice Kay Hower Hoeft, 68, of Inman, wife of Donald Hoeft, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
Born in Alma, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Loy and Doris Knapp Hower.
Alice had worked and retired after 29 years as the Dining Room Manager at Red Lobster. She attended Brookwood Church and had a lifelong love of rescue cats.
Survivors, in addition to her husband of fifty years, include two daughters, Kim Johnston and husband Bill of Simpsonville, and Kelly Quin and husband Ralph of Simpsonville; four
grandchildren, Kevin Johnston and wife Angie of Taylors, Kyle Quin and wife Angie of Mauldin, Tyler Quin and Emily Quin, both of Simpsonville; one sister, Carol Denham and husband Bobby of Albany, GA; and one brother, David Hower and wife Connie of Thomasville, GA. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
