Services for Clyde Beasley, 89, were Wednesday, Feb 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Hines officiating and burial in Fairview Cemetery Addition with Chapman Funeral Home directing.
He died Sunday, Feb. 21, at Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home in Cuthbert, GA. He was born March 21, 1920 in Barbour County to the late John B.
and India Hurst Beasley.
He was a Scottish Rites Mason for 63 years, a US Army veteran of World War II having served in Europe, retired from the railroad after 40 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife Mary Beasley and step-daughters Gloria Melton and Sharon Brazeal, all of Cuthbert, GA; daughter Delores Lindsey, stepson Bill Barrett and sister Mamie Ludlam, all of Eufaula; daughter Joyce Rutledge and grandchild Michael Rutledge, both of Ozark, stepson Marty Barrett of Daytona, FL and grandchild Jeffery Lee Wells of Orlando FL and great-grandchildren Kasey and Kaleb Rutledge.
Pallbearers include Roger Coates, Val Morris, Lee Swain, Don Bush, Chris Baker,Craig Little and Henry Hines,
