Note: Dorsey A. Norris, 83, passed away on November 22, 2017, in Braselton, Georgia. Dorsey was born in Hogansville, Georgia, on November 9, 1934, to Albert L. and Annie I. (Milner) Norris. He was of English and German descent. A 1954 graduate of Russell High School in East Point, Georgia, Dorsey then served in the U.S. Army and the Georgia National Guard, between 1954-1959, as an infantry sergeant.
Dorsey resided in Ocala, Florida, for 52 years between 1961-2013. He was a warehouse manager and convenience store/meat market owner.
He was married to the former Judith Marie Koch, and lived in Blairsville, Georgia, at the time of his death.
In addition to his wife, Dorsey is survived by three daughters: Yvonne N. Landt, Elaine Norris, and Lynn N. Chancey; eight grandchildren: Andy Hinkle, Freddy Landt, Alex Landt, Doug Wallace, Cecil Wallace, Cody Chancey, Caitlyn Chancey and Cole Chancey; three great-grandchildren: Layken Hinkle, Landyn Hinkle and Jasmine Wallace; and a sister, Agatha.
