Note: Mary Louise Trout, 88, formerly of Ocala, Florida, and Elkhart, Indiana, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, in Houston, Texas. Mary was born February 25, 1925, near Union, Mich., to the late Clarence L. and Wilma P. (Boyer) Trout. She was of German (Pennsylvania Dutch) and colonial English descent. She graduated from Bristol (Ind.) High School in 1943, and was the owner and operator of the Elkhart (Ind.) Institute of Technology (EIT) women's residence facility, located at the former Hotel Indiana, in Elkhart, Ind., in the 1960s. After relocating to Ocala, Fla. in 1971, she became a bookkeeper at H.A Busbee Lumber Company for many years. She was an exceptional homemaker. Mary enjoyed following Atlanta Braves baseball in addition to painting and traveling in her earlier years. Mary is survived by her sister Ruth E. Kreischer, Ocala, brother Clare E. Trout, Jones, Mich., daughters Mayre Jo Madlem, Ocklawaha, and Carol J. (Tom) Hall, Sanford, son William D. (Doris) Borneman, Cypress, Tex., grandsons Robbert Madlem, Atlanta, Ga., 2nd Lt. Markus Borneman, San Antonio, Tex., granddaughters Tamayre (Justin) Paulk, Ocala, Loretta (Jonathan) Cuaresma, Jacksonville, Glenda Madlem, Jacksonville, Monika Borneman, Cypress, Tex., and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Velma L. Stults. A memorial service will be conducted in Ocala, Florida, on February 25, 2014, with interment of remains to follow at Highland Memorial Park. Mary L.
