b. Note:   N545 Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Stone Whitesell, 96, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Hospice Home at High Point.
 A resident of this area all of her life, Mrs. Whitesell was born on January 20, 1917 in Forsyth County to the late Harvey Lee and Myrtle Miller Stone. She had worked for many years at Anvil Brand and was the wife of the late Robert Banks Whitesell. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Harvey Whitesell.
 Surviving is her son, Roy B. Whitesell and his wife Joyce of Jamestown; six step -grandchildren, Judy Dumars of Inman, SC, Michael Thompson of Thomasville, Mickey Thompson of Jamestown, Chris Thompson of Kernersville, Keith Thompson of Spartanburg, SC, and Kimberly Carter of Spartanburg, SC ; seven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
 Funeral service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Avenue, in High Point with Newton Cowan of Jamestown Presbyterian Church officiating. Private interment will be in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
