  Jewel W. Baldwin, 89, of 204 Clapp Farms Road, Greensboro died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 7:38 a.m. at her residence.
  A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late George Early Baldwin, Jr. and the daughter of the late Eddie Hildrey Rankin Whitesell and the late Callie Alventine Elizabeth Michael Whitesell. She was a retired employee of P. Lorillard Tobacco Company, a member of Calvary Baptist Church of McLeansville, and a member of the Modern Woodmen of the World.
  She is survived by her two sons, Boyd Lee Summers and his companion Lynda Orvis of Burlington and Jerry Lance Summers and his wife Glenda of Gibsonville; one brother, Otis Whitesell of Burlington; three grandchildren, Amber Summers, Jesse Summers, and Jacob Summers; and two step-grandchildren, Thomas Blevins and his wife Niki and Keven Blevins.
  The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Terry Larson
  The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington one hour prior to the funeral service..
  Memorials may be made to the Cancer Center of Wesley Long Hospital, 501 North Elam Drive, Greensboro, NC 27403
  The family wishes to extend their many thanks to all Hospices that provided assistance to Mrs. Baldwin and to her very special Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church.
