  Helen Smith Horney Whitesell
  Helen Smith Horney Whitesell, 88, formerly of Cook Stewart Road, Whitsett, NC passed away at Ashton Place on Saturday, July 6, 2019.
 A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Joe Carl Horney and the late Howard Whitesell and the daughter of the late Albert L. Smith and Lizzie Barker Smith. She was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ and the Gleaners Sunday School class. Helen was employed by Richardson Vicks (now Proctor and Gamble) in the analytical lab for 30 years.
  Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Jo Sinclair and husband Robert of Whitsett; three grandchildren, Rachel, Sydney, and Justin Rhyne; one great grandson, Ezekiel Johnson; step grandson, Jake Sinclair; four step-children, Sonja Whitesell of, Priscilla Kearns and Bob of , John Whitesell and Eric of, and Joel Whitesell and Jesus Salazar of; three stepgrandchildren, Rachel and Stan Pittman, Jay and Katie Whitesell and Ashley and David Neal; one nephew, Wayne and Gloria Smith; niece, Bonnie and Sonny Harmon; great niece, Heather Stover and great nephew, Brad and Tyra Harmon. She was preceded in death by six siblings.
 The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
 The funeral service will be conducted at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Kristen Gerner Vaughn. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
