 McLEANSVILLE - Mrs. Clara Mae Martin Whitesell, 97, died Monday, October 22, 2001, at her residence.
 Graveside services for Mrs. Whitesell will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2001, at Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Mims officiating.
 Mrs. Whitesell was born on January 18, 1905, in Stokes County and had lived in this area her whole life. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
 Survivors include two sons, Robert "Bobby" Whitesell and wife Jean Starr and Tommy Whitesell, both of McLeansville; three grandchildren, Tracy Waddell and husband Rodney of Summerfield, Mark Whitesell and wife Kathy of Greensboro and Star Reimer and husband Matthew of Pinehurst; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Whitesell, Tanner Whitesell, Aaron Reimer and Madison Reimer.
 The family will receive friends from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2001, at Peace Lutheran Church.
 Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Memorial Fund, 6015 Frieden Church Rd., Gibsonville, NC 27249 or to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
