 Prominent Friendship Man Dies
 Mr. John William Harrison Isley died yesterday morning at 11:30 at his home on Route 62, Coble Township, five miles south of town, having been ill but four days. He was 61 years old, a prominent farmer of the Friendship community, where he, had spent his entire life.
 The funeral will be held at Friendship church Wednesday afternoon at 2 oclock by his pastor, Rev. J. Elwood Carroll, assisted by Rev. D. I. Offman, and the body interred in the churchyard by Rich & Thompson. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Isley, the following sons and daughters, Mrs. C. L. Sharpe, Mrs. L. W. Watkins, and Mrs. Walker Allison, Burlington; Otis A., and Will L. Isley, Burlington, Route 7; 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild; the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. John May, Mrs. George Wilson, Mrs. E. A. Edwards, Alamance; Mrs. Lawrence Anderson, Ossipee, and Erwin Isley, Alamance.
 The pall-bearers will be the following nephews: Charles Wilson, Everett May, Ernest Anderson, Early Edwards, Claud May and Kearney Overman.
 Mr. Isley was a member of Friendship church for many years and was a good man and a loyal and worthwhile citizen.

 FUNERAL FOR MR. ISLEY HELD
 Mr. J. W. H. Isley, who died Monday at his home near Friendship, was buried Wednesday afternoon, the funeral being held at 2 o'clock in Friendship church by Rev. J. Elwood Carroll, assisted by Rev. D. I. Offman, and interment made in the church yard by Rich & Thompson.
 Music was furnished by the church choir, assisted by Mr. J. B. Turner. There was a crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives that more than filled the church. The floral designs were numerous and beautiful, and these bore testimony in a small way to the prominence of Mr. Isley, who had been one of the church leaders, and teacher of the men's Bible class for many years.
 Pallbearers were Messrs. Chas Wilson, Curry and Claude May, Ernest Anderson, Early Edwards and Kearney Overman. The flowers were carried by Misses Thelma May, Era Smith, Blondie Sharp, Bertha May, Lottie Gray Overman, Dorothy and Lence May, Cordie Hart, Fanny Holt, Donnie Andrews, Vera Anderson and Brunette Edwards.
