Note: N9012 1/18/2008 Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Patton Huffines BURLINGTON - Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Patton Huffines , 95, formerly of Burlington and a resident of the Masonic and Eastern Star Home since 1998, died Thursday, January 17, 2008. Mrs. Huffines , a lifetime resident of Alamance County, was the wife of the late William Joshua Huffines and the daughter of the late Daniel Luther Patton and the late Bessie Cook Patton . Polly was a charter member and pianist of the Foot and Fiddle Club and is best remembered by the many customers she entertained over the years as the pianist for the former McMillan's Restaurant and its successor, the Apple House Cafeteria in Burlington. She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Huffines was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, and is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bette Blahausz of Leesburg, Florida and a brother, Mr. Ralph J. Patton , a resident of the Twin Lakes Community in Burlington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. in the Rich and Thompson Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Delmer Chilton. Burial will follow in the Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery.
