  Ruby Clapp Bowman
  LIBERTY - Mrs. Ruby Clapp Bowman , 94, of 2148 N.C. 61, Liberty, died at Twin Lakes Retirement Center on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, following several months of declining health.
 A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Hoyt Bowman , and the daughter of John Alson Clapp and Ada Smith Clapp , both deceased. She was formerly employed at May Hosiery and Kayser-Roth and more recently had worked several years at Chick-Fil-A. She was a member of Low's Lutheran Church, where she was very active in the church and a member of the Aura Lea Moose Circle.
 Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Frances C. Sharpe and Mrs. Marie C. Paul and husband, Marshall, all of Liberty.
 She was preceded in death by four sisters, Miss Amie Clapp , Mrs. Alice Clapp , Mrs. Nellie Pickard, and Mrs. Martha Story; and six brothers, Mr. Ben Clapp , Mr. William Clapp , Mr. Carl Clapp , Mr. Luther Clapp , Mr. Vance Clapp , and Mr. John P. Clapp .
 The funeral will be conducted at Low's Lutheran Church on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. David N. Mielke. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
 The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m., and at other times they will be at the residence of Marshall and Marie Paul, 2127 N.C. 61, Liberty, N.C.
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Low's Lutheran Church, 2136 Hwy. 61 South, Liberty, N.C. 27298; and Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
 The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff and nurses of Twin Lakes and Hospice, Naomi Carroll, Sheila Carter, and Shirley Kime for the loving care given to Ruby during her illness.
